  When we were growing up working out was second nature.

 Outside was your gym, made up choreography from BET and MTV music videos were dance class and cardio consisted of neighborhood bike rides. There was never any worry about what you ate and gaining weight didn’t exist. Then out of nowhere adulthood slaps you in the face with hangovers, 40+ hr work weeks, and a clock that never has enough time. Suddenly physical fitness is no longer a natural part of your life it becomes a task you constantly put on the back burner.

The more the years continue to pass the less active you become. You get tired of being inactive, start a new diet and workout routine go stupid hard for a few weeks or months then fall right back off. Wash rinse and repeat.  From my experience, it’s hard to keep a routine because of mental priorities. To break those barriers you have to use the mentality that your only choice is improving your health and anything that doesn’t positively impact that must end. Push going out, drinking liquor, and eating unhealthy off your list and you will have ample time for workouts and proper eating. You really just have to black out and do the shit.
